Rose Quartz
Pink quartz, often softly cloudy rather than fully transparent.
Where it’s found
Rose quartz often occurs in large masses in pegmatites. Brazil and Madagascar are examples of documented sources. Rough pieces can look softly cloudy, with color ranging from pale blush to deeper pink.
What to look for. The color can range from barely pink to a deeper rose. Many familiar specimens are sold as polished pebbles or rough pieces.
Common spellwork uses
Rose quartz is commonly chosen for self-love, compassion, and relationship-focused spellwork. It can stand for the way you want to show up in a relationship, including the relationship you have with yourself.
These are symbolic associations in modern crystal practice.
Self-help and journaling
Try putting a difficult moment into the words you’d use for someone you care about. A polished stone can be a small reminder to talk to yourself with that same patience.

How to care for it
Use a soft cloth for dust. GIA recommends warm, soapy water for plain rose quartz and advises against steam or ultrasonic cleaning. Dry the piece before putting it away.
