Where it’s found

Colorless quartz is also known as rock crystal. Arkansas has a long history of supplying decorative rock crystal, and the pictured points come from the East Coleman Mine in Garland County.

What to look for. Crystal points often have six sides. Some pieces have internal veils or inclusions even where other areas look glass-clear.

Common spellwork uses

Clear quartz is a common choice for intention-setting, focus, and all-purpose spellwork. Some practitioners call it an amplifier. In symbolic terms, it can mark the part of an intention you want to give the most attention.

These are symbolic associations in modern crystal practice.

Self-help and journaling

If a goal has turned into a long list, try describing it in one plain sentence. Keep that sentence somewhere visible and choose a specific action that fits it.

Journal prompt. If I could give just one thing my attention today, what would it be?

How to care for it

Use a soft cloth or soft brush, especially around points. Quartz can scratch softer stones, and pointed tips can chip. Give a cluster its own pouch or display space.
