Moon Over Manifest · Fluoride mineral
Fluorite
A soft mineral that can form neat cubes in several colors.
Where it’s found
Fluorite can form colorful cubes in mineral veins. The green specimen pictured here comes from the Rogerley Mine near Frosterley in County Durham, England.
What to look for. Fluorite can be purple, green, yellow or colorless. Its Mohs hardness of 4 makes it considerably easier to scratch than quartz.
Common spellwork uses
Fluorite is often chosen for clarity, focus, and discernment. Its crisp geometry makes it a useful symbol in work about sorting out several possibilities and deciding which one deserves your energy.
These are symbolic associations in modern crystal practice.
Self-help and journaling
Notice whether you’re stuck because you need more information or because you have too much to look at. Pick one question that could actually move the decision forward.
Journal prompt. What information would change my decision, and what is just noise?
How to care for it
Fluorite is soft compared with quartz and is easy to scratch. Keep pieces in a separate padded spot and handle cube corners gently. Skip abrasive cleaning.
